In the large developing microdistrict, the first healthcare facility, a medical outpatient clinic for the adult population, appeared at the end of December 2016. At its opening, the creation of a dedicated office for pediatricians in Bilevo was also announced. "Construction work is currently underway. In addition to the pediatric department, we will also open a women's health clinic. Both of these facilities will be located on the ground floor of one of the residential buildings under construction. We will purchase 4 apartments using funds allocated for healthcare measures per resident and savings achieved through optimization. Much will depend on the completion date of the building itself, but we expect the facilities to be open by summer," noted Yuri Derkach.
Currently, about 9,000 children reside in Bilevo, and the future office space will be more than sufficient to serve this number of young patients. In the long term, the women's health clinic will be able to provide services to approximately 18,000 people (currently, the entire adult population of the microdistrict is about 20,000). Yuri Derkach emphasized that both facilities will bring primary healthcare closer to the population. However, this is a temporary measure. "In the more distant future, the need for such offices in Bilevo will disappear – then these premises can be returned to the residential stock and used to provide service apartments for medical staff. When the microdistrict's population reaches 50,000, we will build a multidisciplinary polyclinic complex here. A decision was recently made to direct an interest-free Chinese loan specifically towards the construction of this facility from scratch. Additionally, there are resolutions on allocating funds for the completion of the polyclinic in the Yug-7 microdistrict. Therefore, this institution will be commissioned soon, and we will be able to redistribute the workload from the existing polyclinics," added Yuri Derkach.
