On October 3, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. A resident of Chashniki district stole about 100 kg of fish from the workshop of a local fish farm, the information and public relations department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Department informed a BELTA correspondent.
The offender broke into the fish processing workshop, located on the guarded territory of the fish farm in Novolukoml, at night by breaking a window pane. The man's illegal "catch" amounted to a total of Br2.7 million.
Law enforcement officers established that the crime was committed by an unemployed, previously convicted resident of the village of Bogatyr, born in 1985. A criminal case has been initiated against the man for theft under Article 205, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Belarus, which provides for up to three years of imprisonment. -0-
