The Ministry of Defence reported that the supply of mobilisation resources in connection with the comprehensive inspection of the combat readiness of the Armed Forces was completed on March 22. "The supply was carried out according to plan, without disruptions," the ministry noted. "Over two days, approximately 1.4 thousand reservists were called up from reserve, including about 50 female reservists with military registration specialties," the department clarified.
It is planned that on March 23, the personnel who have not previously taken the Military Oath of Allegiance to the Belarusian people will take it.
As reported, the inspection is comprehensive, covering the most important issues of combat readiness and daily activities of the Belarusian army. On March 12, State Secretary of the Security Council Stanislav Zas handed over the Order of the President of Belarus to the Minister of Defence Andrei Ravkov for the implementation of practical inspection measures. Units of various types and branches of troops are subject to control: reconnaissance, missile forces and artillery, mechanised, anti-aircraft missile forces, aviation, including with live firing exercises.
The troop mobilisation system will be checked, including the readiness to form a separate mechanised brigade, and the forming brigade's ability to independently perform its assigned tasks. Up to 2 thousand reservists are called up from reserve.
Special attention will be paid to assessing the capabilities of the Air Force and Air Defence Forces to cover administrative and industrial areas and prevent acts of air terrorism. Issues of military discipline in the troops are checked separately, as well as the condition of armaments and military equipment in combat units and storage bases.
