Around 150 films will be shown in the competition and out-of-competition programmes of the Minsk International Film Festival "Listapad-2012", which will be held in the Belarusian capital from 2-9 November. This was announced today during an online conference on the website of the Belarusian Telegraph Agency by the festival director, Anzhelika Krasheuskaya. "A total of about 150 films will be shown in the competition and out-of-competition programmes, plus or minus 10-15 films. The films will be screened simultaneously at various venues, with all halls occupied from morning till late evening. We hope that for the two-million-strong Minsk, there will be enough fans of quality films to come to the cinemas, and the halls will not be empty," noted Anzhelika Krasheuskaya. During the forum, the "Youth on the March" competition will be organised, featuring works by the world's most promising young filmmakers. According to tradition, the programme will consist of the main competition of feature films, competitions for documentary works and films for children and youth audiences "Listapadzik", as well as numerous out-of-competition programmes. Speaking about the ticket prices for the screenings, Anzhelika Krasheuskaya explained that the cinemas and the Palace of the Republic are directly involved in ticket sales. However, the ticket price should not exceed Br40,000, depending on whether the film is presented by its authors or not. For the second year in a row, the main venue for screenings will be the "Tsentralny" cinema, which will also host press conferences for accredited media representatives and meetings with renowned guests.-0-
