Candidates for the title of "Queen of Fitness of Belarus" will be selected today in the Vitebsk region, the head of the educational and methodological center of the department of physical culture, sports and tourism of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Galina Kaplunova, told a BELTA correspondent. The Central Sports Complex "Vitebsk" will bring together almost 300 lovers of active recreation from different districts of the Vitebsk region. A master class by the best fitness trainers in Belarus will be organized for them. An open fitness lesson will be organized for children aged 7 to 10, and a fitness convention "Ignite" for older children. As Galina Kaplunova emphasized, all these events will be aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle among children and adolescents, as well as at improving the professional level of trainers. The culmination of the physical culture and sports festival will be the qualifying regional round of the republican competition "Queen of Fitness of Belarus". About 80 participants aged 21 to 40 from Vitebsk, Orsha, Polotsk, Novopolotsk, and Chashniksky district have decided to compete for this title. From among them, a professional jury will select the 10 best who will represent the Vitebsk region in the final of the competition in Minsk on May 24-26.
