On October 8, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. About 60 storage facilities are involved in the Vitebsk region for laying in agricultural products for the stabilization fund for the inter-seasonal period of 2012/2013, the trade and services department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. Of the storage facilities designated for the creation of the stabilization fund, 11 are managed by trade enterprises, 19 by the regional consumer union, and 13 by agricultural organizations. Currently, the laying in of products is already underway. Thus, as of October 1, 900 tons of bulb onions, 1 thousand tons of carrots, 5 thousand tons of potatoes, and 300 tons of apples have been laid in. Only 600 tons and 100 tons of beets and cabbage, respectively, have been laid in so far, as their harvesting has just begun. The volume of agricultural products laid in the Vitebsk region this year will be increased, which will fully meet the needs of the region's residents for vegetables, fruits, and root crops during the inter-seasonal period. The formation of stabilization funds is planned to be completed by November 15. From November, active sales of these products by trade enterprises and at agricultural fairs will begin to maximize the satisfaction of public demand. -0-
