Br89.7 thousand has been allocated from the republican budget for the preparation of the resorts, Br300 thousand from the regional budget. Br70 thousand will be raised through voluntary workdays, and owners plan to allocate over Br500 thousand. Currently, active work is underway at all facilities to prepare for the summer health improvement season. Necessary repairs are being carried out, furniture and equipment are being updated, and the grounds are being landscaped.
The inspection of the resorts began in the region last week and will continue until the end of the month. Commissions have already visited facilities belonging to the administrations of the Pervomaysky and Oktyabrsky districts of Vitebsk, and today they are working at facilities in the Zheleznodorozhny district. "Overall, the work has been launched quite actively and is being carried out in accordance with the established schedule," the department noted.
A total of about 43.5 thousand schoolchildren are planned to be health-improved in the Vitebsk region this summer. More than 16 thousand children and adolescents will be able to rest in the summer in 29 stationary resorts with round-the-clock stays. About 27.5 thousand children will be accommodated in 590 day-stay resorts. The "Raduga" children's health resort of the Vitebsk Regional Clinical Centre will host about 60 children suffering from diabetes mellitus, with hearing and musculoskeletal disorders.
