On October 10, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. Around two hundred proposals have been submitted by the youth of the Vitebsk region for the national project "100 Ideas for Belarus", as reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the BRSM. "The project, which started in the last ten days of September, has attracted enormous attention from young people. This is evident from the geography of the places from which participants have sent and are sending their developments. Thus, in the Vitebsk region, interesting proposals for the project have been received from virtually all districts," specialists emphasized. For example, Maxim Rabey, a student at the Orsha Mechanical and Economic College, submitted the project "Search for the Shrine" concerning the organization of the search for fragments of Rogvolod's Stone, an outstanding monument of Slavic history and culture. This project could be of interest in terms of tourism development. Students of the Glubokskoye District Gymnasium propose using fallen autumn leaves for heating private sector premises, while students of the Polotsk Agro-Economic College have come up with the initiative to create the youth center "Young Room" in Polotsk and Novopolotsk. The center's work will focus on developing entrepreneurial and improving personal qualities of young people, and organizing leisure activities. The "100 Ideas for Belarus" project was launched on September 20 of this year. Proposals from young inventors and innovators aged 14 to 31 are accepted until October 24. The authors of the most successful works will be able to present them at the national youth innovation forum. The project aims to stimulate the innovative activities of youth, create and promote specific projects and promising scientific and technical developments that can benefit both the country as a whole, and individual sectors of the economy, enterprise teams, or settlements. -0-
