The campaign is aimed at preventing and suppressing offenses in the sphere of arms trafficking. Police officers will check the conditions for storing firearms at the place of residence of their owners, and will intensify efforts to identify and seize illegally stored weapons, ammunition, explosive devices, and explosive substances.

Criminal liability, including imprisonment for up to 12 years, is established for violating the legislation in this area. Those who voluntarily surrender illegally stored arsenal items will be exempted from criminal and administrative liability.
