Today, a meeting aimed at strengthening cooperation between healthcare organizations, the Belarusian Red Cross Society, and healthy lifestyle initiative groups will be held at the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, with the participation of representatives from the healthcare department of the Regional Executive Committee and regional healthcare institutions. The results of the joint project of the Belarusian and Swiss Red Cross "Community Engagement in Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle" in Belarus will be presented at the round table. The healthy lifestyle initiative groups created during the project will talk about their work and experience of cooperation with individual district medical institutions.
An open discussion is planned to discuss implemented and potential ways of interaction between healthcare, public organizations, and healthy lifestyle initiative groups. The organisers also expect to hear proposals for a joint campaign for World Health Day.
The event will be attended by representatives of the Republican Centre for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health, the healthcare department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, the regional, zonal and district centres for hygiene and epidemiology, the Belarusian Red Cross Society, the Swiss Red Cross, and participants of healthy lifestyle initiative groups from the Vitebsk region.
