According to Belhydromet, on Friday, March 14, strong winds with gusts up to 15-20 m/s are expected in many parts of the country during the night and morning. Precipitation (rain, wet snow) will occur over most of the territory, with icy conditions possible in some areas.
The air temperature during the day will range from -3°C to +11°C.Drivers should exercise particular caution when driving in exposed areas, on bridges, and overpasses. Keep a firm grip on the steering wheel with both hands and be prepared for sudden gusts of wind. It is not recommended to park under trees, near power lines, or weakly secured structures with high windage.
When driving in precipitation, reduce speed, switch on dipped headlights and fog lights. Avoid unnecessary manoeuvres, increase the distance and side interval.
Pedestrians in bad weather should only cross the road after ensuring that drivers have noticed and are yielding to them. Make yourself visible with high-visibility clothing, and during darkness when walking along the roadway, use reflective elements. During precipitation and icy conditions, refrain from using personal mobility devices and bicycles.
