On June 27, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree "On Awards". 75 representatives of various fields of activity have been awarded state decorations, as reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The orders, medals and honorary titles have been conferred for many years of fruitful work, high professionalism, exemplary performance of official duties, significant personal contribution to strengthening the defence capability of the republic and ensuring legality, development of agriculture, transport and construction industries, outstanding creative achievements, merits in healthcare, education, science, culture, arts and sports.
Thus, Vasily Gustyr, Chairman of the agricultural production cooperative "Svisloch", and Sergey Kremko, Chairman of the V.I. Kremko production cooperative, have been awarded the Order of Fatherland, III degree.
The Order "For Service to the Motherland", III degree, has been awarded to Ivan Boguslavsky, Head of the Main Military Inspectorate of the Armed Forces; Andrey Kurakov, Head of the Engineering Troops of the Armed Forces - Head of the Engineering Troops Department of the General Staff; Sergey Tomchik, Head of the Automotive Department of the Ministry of Defence; and Anatoly Khanevsky, Chairman of the Sports Committee of the Armed Forces. Igor Lyubovitsky, Judge of the Supreme Court, has been awarded the Order of Honour.
A group of military personnel has been awarded the medal "For Distinction in Military Service". Among them are Denis Bodunov, Commander of the 86th Communications Brigade; Alexey Kolyvanov, Head of the 114th Guards School for Training Warrant Officers and Food Service Specialists; and Sergey Frolov, Head of the Anti-Aircraft Missile Troops - Head of the Anti-Aircraft Missile Troops Department of the Air Force and Air Defence Command.
Investigators from various regions of the country have been awarded the medal "For Distinction in Protecting Public Order". Among them are Leonid Andrushkevich, Investigator for Particularly Important Cases of the Main Directorate for Procedural Control of the Investigative Committee; Viktor Fedosenko, Deputy Head of the USC for Grodno Region; and Alexander Protosovitsky, Head of the Investigative Department of the USC for Brest Region.
Among those awarded the medal "For Labour Merits" are Nikolai Bakunov, Chairman of the Court of Zheleznodorozhny District of Gomel; Nina Borsuk, cheese-maker at Postavy Dairy Plant; Leonid Kamarov, physical education teacher at Kadino Secondary School; Yury Rutkovsky, Judge of the Supreme Court; and Elena Khamitsevich, Director of Soligorsk State College.
The Francysk Skaryna Medal has been awarded to Vladislava Artiukovskaya, Artistic Director of the Youth Stage Theatre; Ruslan Berezovsky, stage performer; Oleg Zheleznyakov, artist of the Belarusian State Ensemble "Pesniary"; Elena Kalinichenko, Deputy Director for Scientific and Innovation Work - Head of the Scientific and Production Centre "HimFarmSintez" of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences; and Vitaly Kulbakov, Chief Conductor of the Presidential Orchestra of Belarus.
The Decree also confers honorary titles of the Republic of Belarus. Nikolai Cherginets, Chairman of the Union of Writers of Belarus (in 2005-2022), became People's Writer of Belarus. The honorary title of People's Artist of Belarus has been awarded to Anton Kravchenko, ballet artist (soloist) - leading stage master of the National Academic Grand Opera and Ballet Theatre, and Tamara Mironova, drama artist, leading stage master of the Yanka Kupala National Academic Theatre.
The honorary title "Honoured Artist of the Republic of Belarus" has been awarded to Alexander Glazko, ballet artist of the State Academic Dance Ensemble; Valery Shmat, Artistic Director of the "Golden Voices" Music Production Centre; and Ruslan Chernetsky, leading stage master of the M. Gorky National Academic Drama Theatre.
Composer and producer Yevgeny Oleinik has become an Honoured Figure of Arts of Belarus; Oleg Demydenko, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work of the Francysk Skaryna Gomel State University, is an Honoured Scientist; Tatyana Polushkina, Director of Polotsk College, is an Honoured Educator; Vera Stasevich, Chief Physician of the 19th Central District Polyclinic of Pervomaisky District of Minsk, is an Honoured Healthcare Worker; Viktor Petrusha, General Director of the enterprise "Glavgosstroyexpertiza", is an Honoured Builder; and Andrey Zabara, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court, is an Honoured Lawyer.
Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence Forces Igor Golub and Head of Communications of the Armed Forces - Head of the Communications Department of the General Staff Oleg Mishchenko have been awarded the honorary title of Honoured Specialist of the Armed Forces. Coach-psychologist of the national trampoline team Irina Konon has been awarded the honorary title of "Honoured Worker of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Belarus", and Sambo coach-instructor of the Bobruisk State College of Olympic Reserve Nonna Zhukovets has been awarded the title of "Honoured Coach of the Republic of Belarus".
