June 6, Minsk /BELTA/. Organisers of cultural and entertainment events in Belarus will be required to obtain a tour permit. The relevant decree No. 257 "On certain issues of organisation and conduct of cultural and entertainment events" was signed by the Head of State Alexander Lukashenko on June 5, the press service of the Belarusian leader informed BELTA.
"The document is aimed at improving the practice of organising and conducting such events, stimulating the creative activity of domestic performers, supporting young talents, and protecting the interests of spectators from deception by unscrupulous event organisers," the press service noted.
The decree stipulates that the organiser is obliged to obtain a permit for the organisation and conduct of a cultural and entertainment event on the territory of the Republic of Belarus (tour permit) from the department of ideological work, culture and youth affairs of the regional executive committee (Minsk City Executive Committee).
For an event involving Belarusian performers, the tour permit will be issued free of charge.
For an event involving Belarusian and foreign or exclusively foreign performers, the tour permit is issued upon payment of a state fee to the special fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the support of talented youth.
The decree provides for cases where organisers of cultural and entertainment events are exempted from obtaining a tour permit or from paying the state fee for it.
The normative legal act also grants foreign citizens, stateless persons, foreign and international organisations the right to conduct cultural and entertainment events in the Republic of Belarus.
In addition, the decree regulates issues of advertising cultural and entertainment events, selling tickets and printed materials containing information about the event, and defines the duties and rights of event organisers and spectators.-0-
