Preferences from the inclusion of Open Joint Stock Company "Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant" into the "Vitebsk" free economic zone allowed the enterprise to save Br7 billion in taxes in 2012. This was announced today in Orsha at an expanded field meeting of the House of Representatives Standing Committee on Budget and Finance by the Director of OJSC "Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant" Vladimir Troitsky, BELTA correspondent reports.
The freed-up funds are directed by the enterprise towards production modernization, including the reconstruction of the metalworking shop. The first deliveries of modern numerical control machine tools will begin next week, and the shop is scheduled to be commissioned in 2013. As noted by Vladimir Troitsky, the preferential tax regime for the enterprise as a resident of the FEZ became one of the attractive factors for investors who purchased the state block of shares of OJSC. At the end of 2011, the state divested by selling shares of OJSC "Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant" to strategic investors - Closed Joint Stock Company "Investment and Innovation Systems" (Belarus) and Public Joint Stock Company "Motor Sich" (Ukraine).
Investors have undertaken to invest at least $12 million in the reconstruction and modernization of production capacities during 2012-2016, and to create over 300 jobs. In addition, within

The plant holds a certificate from the Aviation Register of the Interstate Aviation Committee, which certifies the compliance of the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant with the requirements of aviation rules, standards, and ICAO recommendations, ISO 9000 international standards, as well as JAR-145 and EAR-145 rules. In addition, the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant holds a certificate of the Russian Federal Aviation Regulations FAP-145R for the right to perform major overhaul of the Mi-8 helicopter.
PJSC "Motor Sich" is one of the world's largest manufacturers of engines for aviation equipment, as well as industrial gas turbine units. It supplies products to 106 countries worldwide. The Russian Federation accounts for about 30% of the enterprise's total export volume. "Motor Sich" meets more than 80% of the Russian Federation's aviation industry's demand for helicopter engines.
