The enterprise has developed a program of cost reduction measures, one of which is related to the efficient use of the plant's production areas. For this purpose, it has been decided to demolish all dilapidated buildings and structures, and to bring unused areas into economic circulation by selling them at auction. The vacated land plots, which amount to almost 8 hectares, will be gradually transferred to the city's communal ownership throughout 2018-2020.
As a result, the enterprise will be able to save about Br207 thousand annually, spent on paying taxes (land and property), depreciation, and maintenance of inefficiently used buildings. The freed-up funds are planned to be invested in the development of promising production areas.
The "Legmash" plant is part of the "Belarusian Metallurgical Company" holding and specializes in the production of water-cooled elements, metal structures, parts, and equipment for metallurgy. It also produces steel and cast iron castings. For January-March 2018, the enterprise's sales profitability was 5.2%. The number of employees is 532 people.
