This was stated today by Gennady Vyrko, Chairman of the Bellegprom concern, at a republican seminar for heads of state bodies on import substitution issues, according to a BELTA correspondent. As Gennady Vyrko noted, further technical re-equipment will be carried out using its own foreign currency earnings. For this purpose, a draft decree has been prepared, which will adjust the current decree concerning the Orsha Flax Combine. Thus, it is planned to reduce the cost of the combine's technical re-equipment project and its payback period by using its own foreign currency earnings. The head of Bellegprom also reported that equipment of Chinese production has been delivered to the flax combine, it has been installed and is working. This equipment meets world standards. The modernization of flax production has allowed the export share in the combine's total production volume to reach 70%. The enterprise processes various types of raw materials, produces liquid products and exports them, including to European countries. In this regard, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko noted that it is impossible to stop there. "This is the kind of export we need," he said, emphasizing that flax fiber producers should focus on their own raw materials. -0-
