On January 6, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. OJSC "Orsha Dairy Plant" invested Br28 billion in its fixed capital in 2011, the enterprise informed a BELTA correspondent. The main project for the Orsha enterprise last year was the reconstruction of the milk production unit. The two-story production complex underwent reconstruction, and a new milk production line with an extended shelf life of 10 t/h was installed. Currently, commissioning works are underway on this line. The equipment is scheduled to be launched in the second half of January, and Orsha milk will appear in retail networks in February after undergoing the necessary testing and certification. The plant plans to export part of its dairy products to Russia, thanks to the extended shelf life of up to 30 days. In addition, in September, the plant commissioned the first stage of the compressor shop reconstruction project. Modern equipment has been installed here, and advanced thermal insulation materials have been used. This has created the necessary conditions in the chambers for long-term storage of butter and cheese. The second stage of the project involves decommissioning the second operating compressor unit, located in a separate shop and producing chilled water for the enterprise's technical needs. This stage is planned to be completed in the first half of the current year. This year, in addition to completing the 2011 projects, the main part of the dairy plant's financial investments will be directed towards modernizing the Senno production unit. In 2011, the enterprise produced goods worth Br237 billion, or 165% compared to 2010. Exports during this period increased by 16% to $26 million. Their share in the total sales volume was 62%. An important result of the work was the enterprise's return to profitability last year, whereas a year and a half ago, its losses amounted to Br24 billion. Moreover, based on the results of January-November of the year, Orsha Dairy Plant ranked among the top thirty out of 47 dairy enterprises in the republic in terms of profit.
