Grain growers of Orsha District, Vitebsk Region, have surpassed the 100,000-tonne mark for grain threshed, as reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Agriculture and Food Committee of the Regional Executive Committee.

The district's agricultural producers are traditionally the absolute leaders in the region for gross threshing. This year, they are averaging 47.4 centners of grain per hectare. Dubrovno District's grain growers are also achieving good results, with a grain yield of 41.8 centners per hectare.

Regarding the pace of the harvest, Chashniki District is closest to the finish line, having threshed 77.5% of the area sown with grain and leguminous crops. Approximately 74% of the grain fields have been harvested in Beshenkovichi, Senno, and Glubokoe Districts.

Overall, the region's grain growers have harvested over 700,000 tonnes of grain, with an average yield of 32.3 centners per hectare. 64.6% of the area sown with grain and leguminous crops has been harvested. The region has fulfilled over 60% of the state order grain delivery plan.
