Taking into account the increased demand for this type of product, the bakery is implementing a major investment project to install a new automated Czech line, which will produce hearth breads of various weights, from 0.7 kg to 1 kg. The investment volume will exceed Br2 million of own funds. Equipment with a capacity of 14 tonnes of products per day has already been purchased, and its delivery is expected at the end of February. The line will be located in vacant premises within the existing workshop. Commissioning and adjustment works are planned to be carried out on it during March, and full design capacity will be reached in the second quarter.
The planned modernisation of the enterprise also envisages that throughout the year, part of the investments will be directed towards the renewal of individual units of technological equipment in various production areas.
In 2017, the enterprise produced Br14.8 million worth of marketable products, or 106.1% compared to the 2016 level. The profitability of sales was 10.6%. Products worth $146.1 thousand (106.4% respectively) were shipped for export to various regions of the Russian Federation. Net profit for the reporting period amounted to Br1 million, average wages were Br757, and investments in fixed capital were Br191 thousand.
The Orsha Bakery (a branch of OJSC "Vitebskhleboprom") was founded in 1935. Currently, it produces 30 tonnes of bakery products per day (moulded bread, scalded bread, loaves, small baked goods) and about 700 kg of confectionery. The enterprise's products, with a total range of about 70 items, have received numerous awards. Among the latest are gold medals from the 26th international agro-industrial exhibition fair "AgroRus 2017" (Saint Petersburg) and the international confectionery art championship, held as part of the specialised wholesale exhibition fair "Prodexpo". The average number of employees is 379 people.
