The autumn session of the Belarusian Parliament opens on October 2, BelTA reports.
As informed by the press service of the House of Representatives, at the start of the autumn session, deputies will consider 14 issues. The first reading will cover amendments to laws on medicines, on advertising, and amendments to codes on administrative responsibility. The second reading is planned to cover amendments to the laws "On Natural Monopolies", "On Ensuring the Uniformity of Measurements", and "On the Legal Regime of Territories Subject to Radioactive Contamination as a Result of the Chernobyl NPP Disaster". It is planned that deputies will ratify a number of international treaties, including within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
At the opening of the autumn session of the Council of the Republic, its Chairman Mikhail Myasnikovich will deliver an opening address to the senators, as reported by the press service of the upper house of the Belarusian Parliament. The list of issues includes the ratification of international treaties, including two with Poland – on social security and the maintenance of border railway bridge facilities on the joint state border. It is planned to ratify, among others, the intergovernmental agreement with the United Kingdom on international road transport, and the protocol on amendments to the treaty with Russia on military cooperation dated December 19, 1997.
