We all want to create a cozy corner on our plot: buy a beautiful rattan chair, a swing, a stylish dining table for the veranda for next to nothing, or a large and comfortable swimming pool, almost for free. And this is exactly what online scammers exploit.
Their schemes are, unfortunately, old but still effective.Social media feeds on Instagram and TikTok are literally flooded with tempting offers that are hard to resist.
The scam scenario is always the same:
You find a profile with beautiful pictures and a "sweet" price.
The seller insists on prepayment for "booking" or payment for delivery.
As soon as the money is transferred to the seller's card, you are blocked.
No advance payments!
Do not transfer money to the cards of individuals, no matter what "guarantees" (photos of passports, invoices) they send you – it's all a deception.
A price below market value is a trap.
It is better to overpay a little in a trusted store than to give your money to fraudsters. Share this post with your loved ones, especially with your dacha-owning parents – they are currently at risk.
