A telephone conversation between the Presidents of Belarus and Russia, Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin, took place on July 11. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The heads of state seriously and thoroughly discussed the issue of Kaliningrad transit, which became one of the main topics during the conversation.
The leaders also discussed the progress of the special military operation.
They also dwelled on the situation in the post-Soviet space in detail.
Another of the central topics, the discussion of which took a long time, was the supply of Russian energy resources to Europe. The President of Russia informed his Belarusian counterpart in detail about the developing situation. He noted that due to numerous difficulties on the eve of the winter period - a large deficit and a serious overall supply situation - Russia is ready to fulfill its obligations and, at the request of Western European countries, ensure the supply of natural gas and other energy resources.
Important topics of the conversation also included the supply of Belarusian goods through the ports of St. Petersburg and the construction of a Belarusian port in Bronka.
In addition, developing the negotiations during the recent meeting, the Presidents of Belarus and Russia continued to discuss issues of ensuring the defense and security of the two countries.
The leaders also touched upon other issues of bilateral relations, including discussing the schedule of upcoming meetings.
