A rehabilitation department of the 3rd city hospital in Barani was opened today in the Orsha district, the chief physician of the Orsha central polyclinic Vladimir Plytkevich informed a BELTA correspondent. The rehabilitation department is located on the basis of the former health resort of the "Lyos" enterprise. Two years ago, the first stage of the department was commissioned using extra-budgetary and sponsorship funds. The building, which had been empty for three years prior, had its first and second floors reconstructed, housing wards and a medical base with equipment, respectively. The second stage included the reconstruction of the third floor, where double and single "economy" class rooms, as well as "luxury" and "super-luxury" rooms of increased comfort were equipped. All conditions for rest and treatment have been created in these rooms: there is a private bathroom with a shower, a TV, a refrigerator, furniture, etc. Br200 million from the regional budget and Br500 million from the local budget were spent for these purposes. "Medical assistance will be provided both free of charge and on a paid basis," noted Vladimir Plytkevich. Representatives of local authorities and the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's healthcare administration, as well as medical workers of this healthcare institution, took part in the grand opening ceremony. -0-
