28 November, Vitebsk /Sergey Kochetov - BELTA/. On 27 November, emergency power outages occurred in settlements and production facilities in three districts of the Vitebsk region - Gluboksky, Vitebsky and Polotsky - due to strong winds. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Marina Fando, press secretary of the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, citing data from RUP "Vitebskenergo".
As of the morning of 28 November, almost 150 settlements and 17 agricultural facilities remained without electricity in the region, 24 power lines and 350 transformer substations were de-energised.
The most severe consequences of the natural disaster are noted in the Polotsky district, where more than 70 settlements and two farms remain without electricity, and 150 transformer substations are de-energised.
Power restoration works are expected to be completed during the day.-0-
