The performance by Vitaly Volsky, which premiered on May 18, 1941, has been staged more than a thousand times on the Vitebsk stage and has always been warmly received by the public. The current performance will also be held to a full house. The leading actors of the theatre are engaged in the main roles of the production: Petr Laman, Ulyana Atyasova, Alexander Bazuk, Raisa Gribovich, Viktor Dashkevich, Maxim Korzhitsky, Valentin Solovyev, and Valentin Tsvetkov. September will be marked by premieres for Vitebsk theatre-goers. Thus, on September 14 and 24, the performance "Malenki svet" by Alena Popova, directed by Tatyana Sedova, will be presented to the audience on the chamber stage. On September 15, the theatre's main stage will host the melodramatic comedy "Ya zhdu nastoyashchego muzhchinu" based on the play by Edward Radzinsky "A Pleasant Woman with a Flower and Windows to the North," with Tamara Kobyak in the leading role. The director of the performance is Yuri Lizengevich. In addition, the Kolas Theatre company will conduct exchange tours with Belarusian theatres. The theatre's focus on cooperation with young companies is noteworthy in this regard. Thus, from September 20 to 22, the Minsk Regional Drama Theatre will present its productions on the Vitebsk stage, and from September 28 to 30, the Gomel City Youth Theatre will do the same. The Kolas Theatre company will perform with the premiere productions "Perebor" and "Ya zhdu nastoyashchego muzhchinu" in Molodechno and Gomel, respectively, during the same period. Furthermore, the troupe of the Ya. Kolas Theatre is preparing to stage the musical fairy tale "Sivka-Burka," the fairy tale "Kak volk mamoy byl" by Vasily Tkachev, "Nelga zabut'" by Vladimir Korotkevich, "Lesnaya pesnya" by Lesya Ukrainka, and "Doktar filasoffic" by Bronislav Nušić. Grigory Shatko also touched upon the sensitive issue for the theatre concerning the appointment of a new artistic director.
