To the sounds of wartime songs, guests and participants of the marathon gathered in the hall. Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM) volunteers met them at the entrance, presenting symbolic boutonnieres as a sign of respect for the heroic past.

"To those who went to fight for the Motherland, endured, and won... To those who perished forever in fascist captivity... To the 27 million fallen... To the glorious veterans who gifted the world life and happiness – this meeting is dedicated!" noted Ekaterina Baranovskaya, First Secretary of the Lepel District Committee of the BRSM.

Alina Stelmakh, Director of the Lepel Museum of Local Lore, spoke about the events of the war in the district, reminding everyone of the importance of preserving the memory of the ancestors' feats.

Larisa Skovorodko, a veteran of labour and a child of war, recited her own poem dedicated to the Great Victory, filled with sincere gratitude for life and peaceful skies.

The culmination of the event was the launch of the "Songs of Victory" internet marathon. The participants collectively performed "Victory Day".
