The State Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora informs:
In accordance with the Rules for Game Management and Hunting, from the second Saturday of March to the second Sunday of May, during daylight hours, except for the period between 11:00 and 18:00, rifle hunting from ambush is permitted only from a hide on the following species: White-fronted Goose, Bean Goose, Greylag Goose, and Canada Goose. The use of smooth-bore hunting weapons with shot-loaded cartridges is allowed; hunting dogs of the following breeds are permitted for tracking and retrieving downed game: terriers, dachshunds, pointers, spaniels, retrievers, and water dogs.
The total duration of the spring goose hunting season cannot exceed four weeks (28 calendar days). The specific dates for the spring goose hunting season within a given range are established by order or other decision of the hunting ground users before the start of the hunting season.
