The "Road to the Young" open DJ competition has been announced in Polotsk, as reported to BelTA by the press service of the Polotsk District Executive Committee.
Young or aspiring DJs from secondary vocational and vocational-technical education institutions, enterprises and organisations of Polotsk and the district, as well as individuals aged 16 to 31, are invited to participate. Those who play musical sets on any model of Pioneer CDJ equipment using compact discs are eligible for the competition. Choreographic accompaniment by a support group is also welcomed. The number of participants in the support group is not limited. The musical programme provided for public audio-visual playback must not exceed 30 minutes.
Applications for the competition are accepted until June 29. The results will be announced on July 1 on the main stage of Polotsk during the "DJ Battle," which will take place at the "Youth is the Future of Our Country!" youth disco, dedicated to Youth Day. A qualified jury will name three winners through a closed ballot. The audience's favourite will be determined by voting during the event itself.
All winners will receive prizes.
