This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Economy of Belarus, Anton Kudasov, at a press conference dedicated to the results of the visit of the government delegation to India, Bangladesh and Kazakhstan, BelTA reports. "During the visit of the Prime Minister of Belarus to Kazakhstan, an agreement was reached on the abolition of the permit system for road freight transport. Currently, the situation is as follows: Belarus and Russia have a permit system for transporting goods to or from third countries, and with Kazakhstan, not only for transport to or from third countries, but also for mutual freight transport. This means that there is a certain limit of these documentary permits, which restrains the transport business and the opportunities for Kazakh consignees," the Deputy Minister noted. Anton Kudasov reported that to implement this agreement, a corresponding intergovernmental agreement will be developed in the near future. "We hope that next year this agreement will be signed between Belarus and Kazakhstan. And if Russia also joins this agreement, it will allow us to create a truly unified transport space as a key element of the common economic space," he emphasized. The Deputy Minister also reported that during the visit, the parties discussed the project for an industrial and logistics park for agricultural and municipal machinery. "This project represents a qualitative development of cooperation between Belarus and Kazakhstan. It is no longer about exporting domestic machinery or assembling it in Kazakhstan, but about comprehensive scientific, design, educational and technological cooperation. Such a relationship scheme is also possible with other partner states," Anton Kudasov noted.
