Responsibility for blocking railway tracks and damaging property of railway transport enterprises

The Police inform about liability for blocking railway tracks and damaging property of railway transport enterprises! Illegal interference with the safe operation of the railway can lead to severe irreversible consequences. If a passenger train derails, people will be injured. One must not forget about trains carrying dangerous goods, which, if overturned, can cause serious harm to the environment, not to mention losses for economic entities and the state. For violation of railway transport traffic safety and commission of actions that create a threat to the safe operation of the railway, not only administrative but also criminal liability is provided. For placing objects on railway and tram tracks that can cause traffic disruption, damage to railway or tram tracks, protective track facilities, structures, and signaling and communication devices, administrative liability is provided under Article 18.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus. The penalty is a fine of up to 50 base units. For creating any obstacles on the road, delaying traffic by a group of people or in any other way, punishment will follow under Article 18.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus in the form of a fine from 6 to 50 base units.
