The school autumn fair has become a tradition, and every year the event becomes a bright and memorable occasion. Guests gladly purchase the abundant harvest, and the young hosts delight everyone with their artistry and stage skills.
Plenty of fruits and vegetables were offered to buyers at the trade stands of the I. Yerashov Gymnasium. Fresh vegetables and culinary products were purchased by buyers at affordable prices. Trade was brisk at the abundant stands of the Cherskaya basic school-kindergarten, where baked apples, courgettes, grains, potatoes, beetroots, onions, garlic, beans, beetroots… were sold.
Pupils and teachers of Secondary School No. 3 heartily invited guests to their stands. Original handicrafts made from autumn fruits were displayed at the abundant trade stands. Carrots were transformed into a cute little man, a courgette into a hedgehog, a pattypan squash into a little beauty with a hat, a cabbage leaf became a sail, an apple – a ladybird, and potatoes, onions, pumpkins, cucumbers, and other fruits also came to life.
Trade was organised nearby. Buyers willingly purchased potatoes, carrots, beans, pattypan squashes, and courgettes.
Pupils of Starolyadenskaya Secondary School invited guests to ride on the "Harvest Carousel". In addition to fresh vegetables, guests gladly enjoyed cherry compote, freshly baked buns, and boiled corn. And what delicious dishes were offered at the abundant trade stand of Povsvizhskaya Secondary School! In addition to fruits and vegetables, strawberries, jam-filled pastries, potato-filled pastries, lollipops, jam cookies, doughnuts, and other culinary products were sold there.
Pupils of Secondary School No. 1, Kamenskaya, Starolepelskaya, Stayskaya, Zaslonovskaya, Slobodskaya, and Gorskaya Secondary Schools also heartily welcomed guests.
None of the guests remained indifferent to the exhibition of the largest fruits, organised nearby. Guests were delighted to see the giant pumpkins from Kamenskaya and Slobodskaya Secondary Schools. The pumpkin from Starolyadenskaya Secondary School weighed 28 kg, and the one from Secondary School No. 1 weighed 38 kg. A courgette, provided by the Chersky Kindergarten, weighed 5.6 kg. Large beetroots, potatoes, and other fruits were also displayed here.
And how splendid the original compositions of flowers, fruits, and vegetables made by young school masters looked! For instance, students of Poussvizh Secondary School created a beautiful carriage for Cinderella, while students of Kamenskaya Secondary School made a lovely "Peasant Girl" from vegetables. Original compositions were also created by students of I. Yerashov Gymnasium, Secondary Schools No. 1, No. 3, No. 4, Starolepel Basic School, and others. Alongside the beautiful compositions, pupils of the "Nature and Fantasy" club, under the guidance of Marina Ruslanovna Arteeva, prepared a unique exhibition of original decorations and souvenirs made from beads and natural materials. Among the schoolchildren, there are not only excellent homemakers but also wonderful artists. This was confirmed by the amateur art competition. Young artists from Secondary Schools No. 1 and No. 3 captivated the audience with a vibrant staged performance. The Russian folk dance "On the Bench" was wonderfully performed by students of Stayskaya Secondary School, and artists from Poussvizh Secondary School presented the "Bagach" ritual dedicated to the school fair. It turned out to be a bright and unique bouquet of memorable performances, wonderful singing, and dancing.
Fair participants were evaluated in several nominations. In the "Our Harvest is Good" competition for the best decorated fair stall, first place was shared by Poussvizh Secondary School-Garden and Secondary School No. 1. Second place was taken by Secondary School No. 3, and third place by Starolepel Basic School. In the "Gifts of Autumn" competition for the best fruit and vegetable composition, first place was awarded to Poussvizh Secondary School-Garden, second to Starolyadenskaya Secondary School, and third to Starolepel Basic School. Winners of the "Giant Vegetable" bonus competition were also determined. The leader in this competition was Slobodskaya Secondary School, which presented a pumpkin weighing 49 kilograms, a six-kilogram zucchini, and cabbage, with the total weight of vegetables prepared for the exhibition by the school reaching 66 kilograms. Second place in this competition was taken by students of Secondary School No. 4, who presented vegetables weighing a total of 64.5 kilograms, including a 53 kg pumpkin. Third place in the competition was awarded to students of Secondary School No. 1, who brought produce weighing a total of 62 kilograms to the audience.
Participants of the amateur art competition were evaluated in three nominations: "Song," "Dance," and "Staged Performance." In the "Song" nomination, first place was shared by students of I. Yerashov Gymnasium and Secondary School No. 3, Borovskaya and Zaslonovskaya Secondary Schools. Second place was taken by students of Slobodskaya and Gorskaya Secondary Schools, and third place by students of Secondary School No. 4.
In the "Dance" nomination, first place was taken by pupils of the Stayskaya Secondary School. Winners in the "Staging" nomination were pupils of the Povsvizh Secondary School, second place was taken by pupils of Secondary School No. 1, and third place was shared between pupils of the Starolyadenskaya and Kamenskaya Secondary Schools.
Numerous buyers lingered at the fair for a long time, guests animatedly shared their pleasant impressions, and heartily congratulated the young hosts and their teachers. The celebration was a great success. It resembled autumn – generous, beautiful, and unique.
