At a pedagogical meeting of the staff of the Children's Art School (CAS), the former director of the Lepel Music School, Artyom Polonsky, was presented with a letter of appreciation from the Minister of Culture, Pavel Latushka, for many years of fruitful creative work in the field of culture.

At that time, the music school was located in a small wooden building, and frequently toured with performances around the district and beyond. In those days, when television and tape recorders were unheard of, and gramophones and radios were a great rarity, live music was highly valued.

At the end of his speech, Artyom Markovich said emotionally:
- I envy you with sincere, pure envy now. You have such a large school, you have the opportunity to engage in various types of creative activities: you dance, you paint, you play musical instruments, you stage performances on stage. I wish you health, happiness, and love!
