This bright festive event has become a tradition in our district. It is very pleasing that the number of its participants does not decrease every year. This year, the Parade of Father Frosts and Snow Maidens was held for the third time.
Snow Maidens in beautiful dresses and charming Father Frosts awaited the start of the celebration. Employees of the Lepel Children's Art School came to the holiday in the guise of numerous fairy-tale characters. Many townspeople came to watch the bright spectacle and support their friends and colleagues at this important moment.
On this wonderful day, everything around was unusual. Even the State Traffic Inspectorate officer driving a car became Father Frost for the day. The first to ride in the festive carriage to the square were the hosts of the holiday – Father Frost Dmitry Mikhno and Snow Maiden Alena Mazgo. Behind them, the participants of the brass band of the 19th separate guards mechanized brigade marched with a brisk step, followed by beautiful Snow Maidens and Father Frosts representing about 40 city organizations and enterprises. Many townspeople gathered on the sidewalks along Internatsionalnaya and Karl Marx streets. All of them sincerely greeted the participants of the Parade with joyful shouts.
Many guests also gathered on Freedom Square. The participants of the festive procession circled the beautiful Christmas tree from all sides, and the hosts greeted the guests with warm poetic lines. The parade participants and guests were invited to join a large New Year's round dance. For a moment, the city square turned into a New Year's fairy tale, where bright dreams come true, and miracles become reality. On the stage area near the district House of Culture, popular songs were performed by famous local pop singers. Employees of the District Center for Children and Youth invited children to attractions. Culinary and meat products were sincerely offered at the trade stands of Lepel District Consumer Society and JSC "Lepel Dairy and Canning Plant".
