This was announced today to journalists by the Chairperson of the Central Election Commission Lidiya Yermoshina, BelTA reports. "If voters in these districts have cast the majority of votes for any single candidate for deputy, then there is a prospect that the names of the winners will be announced in the evening," noted the Chairperson of the Central Election Commission. As of 12:00, about 40% of voters had participated in the elections in Belarus on average. In Gomel, Vitebsk and Mogilev regions, the voter turnout rate approached 50%, in the other regions - 40%. "After 14:00, more positive information about the number of voters from other regions is expected. From 12:00 to 14:00 is the period of the most active voter turnout," she said. According to Lidiya Yermoshina, the emotional atmosphere at the polling stations in the country is calm.
