The President stressed that parliamentary elections are not only the most important political event for the country, but also a responsible examination for the current authorities, especially for local authorities. "I want to warn you right away. We should not and will not adapt to anyone from the outside. The elections are held for the Belarusian people and exclusively in their interests. Belarus is a sovereign state and will not accept any interference," the President stated. At the same time, he added that in the country "work will continue as usual, without rush and emergency measures." "We need to focus on solving the most important task - to hold these elections in strict accordance with national legislation, honestly, openly, ensuring the will of the Belarusian people," the head of state emphasized. Alexander Lukashenko believes that cohesion, organization, and exceptional mobility are needed in preparation for the parliamentary elections. He specifically drew attention to the fact that the implementation of organizational measures should take place in a calm and constructive environment, with mutual understanding from all participants in the electoral process. The head of state considers this very important in the current election campaign. "We have learned to hold elections as a celebration for the Belarusian people. Let's make this celebration once again. This day should be a holiday for the people," Alexander Lukashenko stressed. According to the President, it is necessary to approach the formation of election commissions carefully. "Decisions on their formation should be made, as required by law, openly, with the participation of political parties and public organizations. Representatives of parties, regardless of their political views, who have distinguished themselves in previous election campaigns, should be included in the election commissions. Those who previously contributed to the disorganization of elections should not be given a second such chance," the head of state noted.
