A large consignment of cigarettes was detained in Dubrovno District, the Information and Public Relations Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Department informed a BELTA correspondent. On the Brest-Minsk-Russian Federation border highway near the village of Sentyuri, Dubrovno District, employees of the Dubrovno District Department of Internal Affairs and the inter-district department of the State Financial Investigations Committee for the Vitebsk Region detained an Iveco vehicle driven by a Minsk resident born in 1980, who was transporting 53,500 packs of cigarettes without the relevant documents. The value of the goods is estimated at Br437 million. The cargo has been seized. An investigation is underway.-0-
