At the beginning of his speech, Mikolai Mikalaevich noted that from June 22 to 23 of the current year, one of the most important political events of the year took place in the Republic of Belarus – the Fifth All-Belarusian People's Assembly, which marked the end of a five-year period of the country's development and the beginning of a new stage in the life of the state and society.
From 2005 to 2009, development occurred due to the accelerated growth of exports to the Russian and European markets. Economic growth was ensured by expanding production volumes. This period of most active growth was dubbed the "Belarusian economic miracle of the early 21st century" in the foreign press.
The country achieved significant success in social policy. In 2015, the Millennium Development Goals defined by the UN Declaration, related to the eradication of poverty and hunger, the reduction of child mortality, and the provision of education for the population, were met. According to the Human Development Index, Belarus moved from 68th place in 2000 to 50th place in 2015 among almost 200 countries of the world community and belongs to the group of countries with a high level of human development.
Over the past five-year period, modernization of the basic sectors of the economy has been carried out. Technical upgrading of wood processing industries is being completed, technological lines for the "dry" production of cement have been commissioned, and the production of complex compound fertilizers has been organized. Serial assembly production of passenger cars has been mastered in the country, and the world's largest mining dump truck with a carrying capacity of 450 tons has been produced. A plant for the production of modern railway electric trains has been built. The construction of the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant has begun.
Over five years, more than one thousand dairy farms, 55 pig farms, 456 grain drying complexes, as well as 500 poultry farms have been commissioned and technically re-equipped. All new equipment in the villages is of domestic production.
Afterwards, the group members spoke about the activities of their services, and the attendees addressed them with pressing issues. The issues raised by the employees of the "Lepel Bakery" branch have been taken under control and will be considered by representatives of the relevant services.
