17 March, Minsk /Elena Prus - BELTA/. Pensions in Belarus will be increased, however, it is too early to talk about any specific dates. This was announced by Larisa Yashkova, Deputy Head of the Main Department of Pension Provision and Social Insurance of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, today at an online conference held on the websites of BELTA and the ministry.
Larisa Yashkova recalled that the last pension increase was very recent – in November last year. At that time, pensions increased by 10% at once. And in total, pension amounts were increased three times in 2010.
The representative of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection informed that over the past five years, the real value of pensions for Belarusians has increased by more than 1.6 times (i.e., taking inflation into account). -0-
