On September 12, a woman called the rescuers and reported that her neighbour had gone into the forest and got lost near the village of Kvetcha, Lepel district.

Rescuers immediately set out to search for the elderly woman, born in 1948.

For the first few hours of the search, rescuers maintained contact with the missing person by phone, but then the connection was lost. The marshy terrain and lack of communication complicated the search for the pensioner. More than thirty people were involved in the search, with the involvement of nine units of equipment and a quadcopter. Among them were 28 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and 7 units of equipment.

By the evening of September 13, the pensioner was found in the forest by employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Fortunately, she did not require medical assistance.
