The retirement age in Belarus is not planned to be increased for now, Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich stated today during his meeting with the work collective of OJSC "MAZ", as reported by a BELTA correspondent. "We do not plan to increase the retirement age," the Prime Minister said. At the same time, he noted that this issue is under consideration. "You know the President's opinion that we have no need to revise the retirement age upwards," the head of government emphasized. He pointed out that the issue of a possible increase in the retirement age is currently being discussed only for certain categories of citizens who retire earlier - at 45 or 50 years of age. "We are among the few countries left with Russia where we have a retirement age of 55 and 60 years for men. All others are increasing this threshold," Mikhail Myasnikovich recalled. -0-
