Young trainees of the taekwondo section of the Belarusian Public Association "Taekwondo" have once again brought fame to Lepel region at the Seventh International Tournament "Sports Cup", which took place in Minsk.

Young trainees of the taekwondo section of the Belarusian Public Association "Taekwondo" have once again brought fame to Lepel region at the Seventh International Tournament "Sports Cup", which took place in Minsk. More than 400 young athletes participated in the event. In addition to participants from Lepel, the tournament featured residents of the capital, guests from Brest, other cities of the republic, as well as from Latvia.
In the "Tul" (patterns) exercise complex, in the twelve-thirteen year old age category, Alexey Gardionok took second place, and Nikita Kalituha (six-seven years old) was awarded third place.
Our athletes also performed successfully in the "Sparring" exercise complex. Roma Sukharukov (20 kilograms, six-seven years old) took first place. Sasha Kavryga (35 kilograms) became first in the eight-nine year old age category. Alexey Gardievsky was awarded first place in the twelve-thirteen year old category (35 kilograms). Nikita Kalituha took second place in the six-seven year old category (20 kilograms). Pasha Safrynenko (26 kilograms) was also awarded second place in the same age category. Vanya Avtukh (eight-nine years old, 29 kilograms) also became second. Maxim Valynets took third place in the six-seven year old category (23 kilograms). Dmitry Khalmachov (over 35 kilograms category) took third place in the eight-nine year old age group.
Young athletes who have been training in the section for several years also performed well. Zhenya Agaponko became first in the tournament in the 12-13 year old age category (35 kilogram category). Vanya Zhuk took second place in the six-seven year old category (over 29 kilogram category). Kirill Prigozhev was awarded second place in the same age category (23 kilograms). Viktoria Urban was awarded second place in the eight-nine year old category (26 kilograms). Ksyusha Galuza (12-13 years old, 45 kilograms) also took second place.
Inna Popova, the head of the taekwondo section, showed an excellent result in the adult sparring, taking second place in the 65 kilogram weight category. Sasha Maximov (eight-nine year old category, 32 kilograms) was awarded third place. Trainees of the section who took prize-winning places received Diplomas and medals.
