13 December, Vitebsk /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. Successfully concluded tenders for the lease of hunting grounds will bring investment and new jobs to Beshenkovichi District, the Beshenkovichi District Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent.
District authorities held a tender for the lease of hunting grounds for the first time. Three applicants participated, with the open joint-stock company "Vitebskdrev" emerging as the winner. The lessee will be granted the use of hunting grounds with a total area of 2.5 thousand hectares, including 2.1 thousand hectares of forest and 420 hectares of field, located within the hunting grounds reserve fund of Beshenkovichi District. The lease term is at least ten years. In compliance with the tender conditions, the joint-stock company plans to invest over Br5 billion in the creation of a hunting complex and create 30 jobs.
Currently, five lessees of hunting grounds are operating in Beshenkovichi District. The emergence of another one will contribute to the further development of hunting tourism and attract investment, the District Executive Committee is confident. The implementation of this project is planned under the regional program "500," which envisages the development of tourism infrastructure, including hunting tourism.
In Vitebsk Region, 62 hunting grounds have been leased, 15 of which are managed by the Vitebsk State Production Forestry Association.-0-
