On October 18, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Promising areas of Belarusian-Latvian investment and innovation cooperation will be determined by the participants of the international business forum "Innovative Business - Investments in the Future", which will be held in Vitebsk on October 21-22. This was reported to BELTA correspondent by Natalia Saltanovich, Head of the Investment Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Economy Committee. Representatives of the Embassy of Belarus in Latvia and the Embassy of Latvia in Belarus, businessmen from Latvia and the Vitebsk region, and heads of local governments of the Latgale region of Latvia will meet at the round table. Along with Latvian guests, about 200 representatives of business circles from Russia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Norway, India, and Vietnam have confirmed their participation in the innovation forum. During the forum, it is planned to sign 11 agreements on bilateral cooperation and investment contracts with foreign partners. At the forum's demonstration site, a scientific and practical exhibition of over 150 innovative and investment projects "Science. Innovations. Investments" will be held, along with a presentation of priority projects, which include innovative technologies in logistics, energy saving, food and woodworking industries, mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, and tourism. The investment potential of all cities and districts of the region will be presented. Investors will be able to visit enterprises in cities and districts of the region where the implementation of joint projects is possible. According to Natalia Saltanovich, such meetings with representatives of foreign business circles help to activate the processes of bilateral cooperation between regions, cities, universities and scientific institutions, economic entities, contribute to the growth of innovative, investment and export potential, promote the implementation of joint projects and the creation of joint ventures, including venture production, and present innovative ideas and developments. -0-
