The first thousand tons of grain in the region were threshed by farmers of Lepel district

The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, visited the field to congratulate the combine operators and present gifts.

Nikolai Nikolaevich noted that the harvest is practically just entering its technological rhythm, and we already have the first thousand-ton crew. Currently, 12.3% of the areas have been threshed, while last year at the same date, combines had not yet entered the field. Compared to 2017, we are ten days ahead.

In the next week and a half, meteorologists promise good weather, which will allow farmers to harvest the main areas. The first thousand tons in a few days of harvesting indicates that there is bread, machinery, and professionalism of the machine operators.

In the person of Leonid and Pavel, the head of the region congratulated everyone who grew and is harvesting the crop. Nikolai Sherstnev wished the villagers good weather, a harvest without losses, and a decent salary.

Leonid Alekseenko and Pavel Khonyak are classified as youth crews. However, they are already experienced machine operators. This is evidenced by the fact that the management of the Vitebsk Integration Structure entrusted them with a new New Holland combine.

According to the head of the agricultural enterprise, Alexander Bykov, in addition to the imported unit, six domestic combines are participating in the harvest. Of the 3723 hectares of grain and leguminous crops, 15% have been harvested with a yield of 46-50 centners per hectare. In recent years, the farm has paid great attention to growing peas (the area has been increased to 1 thousand hectares) and hybrid rye (825 hectares), which yields up to 80 centners per hectare in some plots. These crops help to establish a strong fodder base, which has a favorable impact on milk production. For 7 months, an average of 3.8 thousand kg of milk has been produced per cow.
