"The deadline is December 2019 for the commissioning of the first power unit. There must be full readiness, and I think our task is to achieve this full readiness on time, which is what we will strive for," said Anatoly Bondar.

By this time, the reactor vessel and all four steam generators have been installed at the first power unit. The welding of the main circulation pipeline has been completed, which is a key event for the preparation for the launch of the first unit.

The Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant is being built according to a standard Russian project of a new generation "3+" AES-2006 near Ostrovets (Grodno region).
