25 April, Vitebsk /BELTA/. IPL Kompleks LLC plans to commission a customs warehouse and a customs clearance point at the site near Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant OJSC in July-August. The creation of a customs control zone will be the first stage of the project to establish the Orsha Industrial and Logistics Park, the company's Marketing Director Igor Raevsky told BELTA.
The warehouse area will be 900 sq.m, with a parking lot for 100 trucks to be equipped nearby. The two-story administrative building of the customs clearance point, with an area of about 800 sq.m, will house the post of the Orsha Customs and a unit of RUE Beltamozhservice. The development of customs infrastructure at the aircraft repair plant site will allow for the revitalization of cargo traffic in the near future, the source noted.
In accordance with the logistics park development concept, the next stage will be the development of the adjacent territory of 25 hectares. According to preliminary data, this will require about $25 million. The site is planned to include the construction of two universal warehouse complexes of 20-22 thousand sq.m each with cargo terminals for handling air cargo, and administrative annexes (2 thousand sq.m each). It is also planned to erect an industrial building (about 14 thousand sq.m) for the placement of assembly production of consumer goods. Issues of selecting a general designer for this site and a general contractor are currently being worked out, and given the high financial capacity of the project, preference will be given to a partner with an open export finance line.
In addition, in the future, it is possible to organize a large wholesale market on these areas to serve individual entrepreneurs, which are planned to be created in each region by order of the head of state. "We are ready to cooperate with potential partners wishing to develop wholesale business in the creation of such a facility," said Igor Raevsky. One of the advantages of the planned warehouse complexes for use as a wholesale shopping center is the possibility of organizing an exhibition hall for samples of stored products, where entrepreneurs could select and order the necessary goods.
