On November 13, the first stage of the republican campaign "Don't Burn Your Life Away!" started in Lepel district. Activists of the district branch of the Belarusian Youth Public Association of Fire Rescuers and the inspector of the propaganda and public relations group, Alexander Sadovsky, became participants of this campaign. The young people set off from the Lepel railway station along bus route No. 5 during lunchtime to inform people about the dangers of smoking in bed. The schoolchildren spoke to residents about the number of fires and fatalities caused by this harmful habit, and tried to convince them that smoking not only harms health but can also lead to people's deaths. It is worth noting that adults willingly engaged in dialogue with the students, carefully studied the visual materials they received, and the young rescuers, in turn, were pleased to hear from the townspeople that they were doing a useful job – promoting life safety.
