On November 12, the first stage of the republican campaign "Don't Burn Your Life Away!" started in the Lepel district. Activists of the district branch of the Belarusian Youth Public Association of Fire Rescuers and employees of the district department for emergency situations became participants of this campaign.

From the railway station of Lepel town, along bus route No. 5, during lunchtime, activists of the youth organization informed people about the dangers of smoking in bed. The young people told residents about the number of fires and deaths caused by this harmful habit and tried to convince people that smoking not only harms health but can also cause fires and fatalities. Passengers on the route were given visual information materials.
