As of 25 July, over 1.1 million tonnes of grain have been threshed in Belarus, with 383.6 thousand tonnes harvested by agricultural workers in the Gomel region and 296.7 thousand tonnes in the Brest region. The Minsk and Mogilev regions have threshed 259.9 and 72.9 thousand tonnes of grain respectively, the Grodno region – 105.4 thousand tonnes, and the Vitebsk region, which joined the harvest last, – 14.6 thousand tonnes.
Grain and leguminous crops have been harvested from 338 thousand hectares, which constitutes 15.3% of the total area. The Gomel region is currently the leader, with 37% of its areas harvested.
On average, agricultural workers are harvesting 33.5 centners of grain per hectare this year, which is 3.4 centners more than last year.
