The Leto permanent sales centre will appear in Minsk. The essence of the idea is that shops of outlet trade, discount stores, as well as shops whose trading policy involves permanent sales will be presented on an area of 15 thousand sq.m. The centre will also include a large supermarket and a full-cycle cafe with 170 seats. This combination of operators will attract not only Minsk residents but also residents from all over Belarus, the group of companies believes.
According to "Tvoy Stolitsa" specialists, so-called outlets – shopping centres selling last year's collections of famous brands at significant discounts – are quite popular in European countries and Moscow. "Creating an outlet in Belarus in the usual European sense is not yet possible due to the small number of international brands represented in the market. However, there is undoubtedly demand from the Belarusian population for discounted purchases, and many still travel abroad for goods," the company noted.
The Leto shopping centre is being built on Zhukov Avenue on the site of the former taxi depot. "It will be most convenient for residents of the Kurasovshchina, Yugo-Zapad, Mikhalovo and Grushevka microdistricts, as well as residents of settlements located along the railway towards Brest, to get there, as there is a suburban electric train stop 'Stolichny' near the shopping centre," the concept developers reported.
The developer of the centre is the production and trade OJSC "BelGAZAavtoservis". It is planned to invest more than $40 million in the project implementation. The total area of the facility under construction is 23.7 thousand sq.m, and its commissioning is scheduled for December 2014.-0-
